Here are the concept covers for two new pocket journals I’m working on and hope to debut and about a week and a half. The covers will feature custom stamped images that I designed and are created by AproposRoasters in Richmond VA. I have worked up some concept images for visual reference but will post up a final product soon! You’ve probably seen the interior pages to the wine journal and the new beer journal is similar but of course focuses on the beer taste and details. Here are some screens.

I recently happened upon an estate sale of an artist and government official. Their professions were easy to discerned based on the copious amounts of old photographs, postcards, half-finished art projects, books on world travels, etc.. that littered their home and were being rummaged through by the many treasure hunters there. I immediately located the bulk of vintage European postcards, most of which were not written on but merely saved in random shoe boxes along with letters from friends and family, about 500 stamps, and a huge stack of National geographic maps. I wasn’t 100% sure what I was going to do with this stuff but after a search of “postcard books” I got some great ideas and set to work right away.
